Our privacy commitment
At Qmarque, privacy is part of the product, not an add-on. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), host data in the European Union and do not share the IP addresses of the people who scan your codes with third parties for advertising purposes.
What data we process
We process the data needed to provide the service: your account (name and email), the codes you create and aggregated scan metrics. Our analytics are designed to minimise personal data.
Legal basis and purpose
We process your data to perform the service contract (creating and managing QR codes, billing), on the basis of legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention and product improvement) and, when you authorise it, to send you marketing communications. Billing data is processed to comply with a legal obligation (tax law).
Sub-processors
We use Stripe to process payments and Cloudflare for CDN and site protection; both act as processors under contract and with appropriate safeguards for international transfers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where applicable. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Data retention
We keep account data while it is active and, afterwards, for as long as legal obligations require (tax and accounting rules, typically up to 6 years). Browsing and scan data is anonymised or deleted within a reasonable period.
Your rights
You can access, rectify and erase your data, as well as export it, at any time from your account or by writing to us.
Right to complain
Besides exercising your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to us, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at aepd.es if you believe the processing of your data does not comply with the regulations.
